i had the same problems, game chashes, computter shut off and turned back on again.
for me it was solved by updating my windows 10 to version 1903
specs:
I9-9900K
RTX 2080
asus rog strix z390I
Corsair cx650
@WhoFriedMyDogg I hope u know that the version 1903 of windows is buggy as hell and i dont wanna make my PC performance bad only that i can play Need For Speed Heat....
This had nothing to do with 1903 using it since the beginning its working fine.
The problem is need for speed heat itself on all platforms random freezings or crash to desktop is a known problem right now.
I dont touch this game yet until they fixed it.
Has to do something something with game files or decals that u can use on cars.
I'm having the same issue. After 1 or 2 races, the game crashes. This might be an Origin problem, I get the same crashes in other games like FIFA 20 and Arkham Origins as well.
For me, game is crashing right after when I complete the first race after selecting a character. If in fullscreen mode, I get a DXGI error and I get a black screen if I use borderless window mode.
In both cases, I have to force close the game. I've tried a fresh driver install, disabled all overlays and also disabled fullscreen optimizations and windows game mode and game bar.
Nothing worked! Same crash in the same place every time!
