nfs heat license plates broken

in heat recently plates just broke, no matter what i do they always revert back to GHOST. disconnecting from my wifi fixes the issue, until i reconnect my wifi or reboot the game. ive noticed other people having this issue and im wondering if anyone has found a proper fix for this.
