NFS: Heat. Other people can't see my decals, nor can I see theirs

So my mate and I are on PS4 and are pretty big fans of the game so far, well that is of course when it's actually functioning. We ran into a bug that saw us unable to see eachothers decals. After playing for a few days now, I only recently discovered that my mates car was not completely plain orange after he sent me a screenshot of his car with loads of decals on it. Likewise, he thought my gtr was plain green all this time but it is most definitely not plain green. After tediously changing paintjob and moving decals around the car and exiting the garage multiple times (like 10-20 times) we would find that by random chance we could see eachother decals. Does anyone else have experiences with this issue?
