I am having the same issue with the Play Store saying that my device is not compatible; I use a Samsung Galaxy J7 16GB.
Are there any updates yet on when the app will be able to work for my specific model? @EA_Andy
ok , now i upgrade my phone to Android 8.1 And I still have the same problem
my ( LG K10 2017) details right now :
- Android 8.1 (API Level: 27)
- OpenGL ES 3.2
- 64 bit
- Touchscreen
- 2 GB of RAM (1859 MB total ram)

@darain232 I am afraid not. On 27th August there was a new version, however the changelog notes didn't reveal much.

This thread says "Solved" by it hasn't changed and there doesn't seem to be any kind of official acknowledgment from EA.
Guess they really as bad as people say..
