NFS Most Wanted SpeedPoints exploit and other bugs

All bugs have been seen on the Playstation 3 version running NFS:MW Ver. 1.03 with Ultimate Speed Pack

Recently, I've been getting a large amount of bugs since the last update. To give an idea, the main bug I'd like to report is a wierd bug causing me to get half a million SpeedPoints automatically without any reason, upon startup of the game. The reason why it's an "exploit" is because upon repeated exiting and starting the game, one could obtain severaIl million SpeedPoints illegitly. It's been driving me mad because I want to progress through my Concours slowly, not exploit my way back to 71. 😕mileymad:

Another bug is minor. Upon entering Concours, the cars unlocked at the beginning (or USP/NFSH/TV/ML vehicles unlocked before Concours) will have the modifications/Paint they had before Concours if you enter Concours and play on Multiplayer.

A third bug is the "nullo" area below the map, that if you head fast enough, any car can go into the nullo, or suspended in a freeze-frame, until MW loads. This was in versions past, but it has been acting up badly since 1.03, causing any freezing up to freeze up the game completely. Entering the Nullo can also cause a system freeze entirely.

One final bug to report is that  upon the occasion of a Team Race while online, it may state your team before you enter the Meet Up, at about the time the Meet Up is assigned to the map.

I also have a severe annoyance to online play to report. With excessive action occuring, such as a large group of racers taking each other down, the notifications can cause delays in when events start, or when the Meet Up is assigned, for example. In short, better norification management for "minor" events.

  • The first bug is a programming error, and will probably never be fixed, it is a save game problem, the only way to fix it CURRENTLY is by deleting your save file and starting again; you will keep your speedpoints. BACKUP YOUR SAVE FILE FIRST, incase it doesn't fix the problem.

Secondly, to fix the second bug, ignore it unless it is causing issues in game.

Thirdly, the "nullo" is actually frame buffering, CLEAN YOUR DISC, and is caused by the "Need for Speed", literally, you are driving too fast for the game to render the new portion of track, so it will force a frame pause in order to buffer - one way to try and improve this is by freeing HDD space FIRST, and using the recovery menu to rebuild your PS3 database. Do this by turning of the PS3, then holding the power button down until the system shuts down again. Now hold the power button again, until the system beeps twice, and let go. Plug a controller into the system via USB and press the PS button. Choose the "Rebuild Database" option. YOU WILL LOSE YOUR MESSAGES and PLAYLISTS, NOT SAVEFILES or GAMEDATA, just non-critical data. Let it rebuild the database. *Also clean your PS3 out too, if it is dusty; buy a can of compressed air and blast air into the air vents, 3 second bursts.

The final bug is just stupid people, and won't be fixed because that is the way the game is meant to be played.
