NFS Payback won't launch.

Game won't launch at all. Nothing happens. No window pop up, no error. Origin pops up and says I can play this game. Tried repairing, updating and re-registering the game in the registry. The game worked fine for 1 day. NFS 2015 works fine without problems, tho I think it uses the same engine, and should use most of the same drivers etc.

    Hey man. If you have the issue where it says something about the cloud saves and then for 2 seconds NFS Payback process appears in task manager, then the solution is simple (works for most people, but not for everyone).

    Apparently it is required that your Origin application has to be the latest version - 10.5.5.6040. It probably does not work on older versions of Origin, even if it is v10. So this is what you should do.

    1. Uninstall your current Origin application from Control Panel
    2. Download Origin from https://www.origin.com/irl/en-us/store/download
    3. Install Origin and launch NFS Payback

    PS! You do not have to uninstall the game when you uninstall Origin.

    Not sure I can help with that one.   I always launch from origin.  I keep Origin up to date and cannot recall an issue like you mentioned.

    To the best of my knowledge, the game runs out of Origin.

    Spoiler Alert! I got the Steam version (after EA Desktop failed me twice) and the issue is still there! At this rate I may turn to Piracy and even put on me eyepatch! Arghhhh


    (Seriously, if a company cant put out a product that WONT EVEN LAUNCH PROPERLY, who can blame the consumer for going AWOL?)

    Same here, tried to reinstall origin 2 times and it still doesn't work

    I encountered the same issue (8 years laters to this topic)
    After getting NFS Payback Deluxe Edition on Steam, I spent 6 weeks trying to run it, updating everything, disabling DLC, checking integrity etc etc. My other games were launching (Most Wanted & Rivals).
    Today NFS Payback launched but I'm not sure why.
    Yesterday I tried to start Steam,  AND   EA App,    AND     NFS Payback with administrator privileges, it done nothing different but opening the registering app.
    I also deleted the savegame folder, NFS said it was corrupted on startup (I had never played it before so I replaced it when asked)
    Maybe EA fixed something on my account.
    Hope it will help someone.
