This is just getting better and better... smh
''The oft-repeated argument is that players never have to pay, and can earn loot drops by playing (read: grinding) the game, despite the fact that the mere presence of microtransactions is, in itself, an incentive to spend money.'' I hope that doesn't mean we have to do 'gta online' type of grinding...
No, we don't.
- XGCSith8 years agoSeasoned AceJesus Christ. Now they are following the mainstream BS of microtransactions? This is getting ridiculous. Sounds like EA and Ghost is getting greedy now. There goes even more playability.
- XGCSith8 years agoSeasoned Acehttps://www.tweaktown.com/news/57837/need-speed-payback-microtransactions/index.html I am not sure if this source is reputable but, I found this. It also looks like they are offering "open world pursuits" in online mode only
- XGCSith8 years agoSeasoned AceIf you look at the last quote on that link, it says they are offering open world pusuits, which we all know is not true or is only true in online mode only. I just don't know what to make of this game anymore.
Not sure if that's a reliable source of info.
- XGCSith8 years agoSeasoned AceThat's what I was thinking also. I reallt hope there are no microtransactions. This will ruin the game.
There are microtranasctions, but only for speed coins with which you can buy shipments to get better parts. You can also get speed coins by leveling up.
They better not put this in the game. I was already disappointed when they announced speed cards, i preferred unlocking performance parts the old fashioned way. first no free roam pursuit and now this?
- XGCSith8 years agoSeasoned AceI think you can still modify the car without speed cards. Speed cards are just a reward system after a race.
