NFSW Problems

I used to play need of speed years ago and now I have time and I want to play again.  I downloaded with much difficulty nfsw and every time I try to play I receive "The servers are currently down.  Thanks for your patience."  Will someone look at the code and find out what's throwing this error and tell me so I can fix it?  I've seen a lot about it on the web but nothing is current.  The program that checks your servers tells me they are up and running.  Thanks for you help....
