Progress not saving on the PC

Hello All,

Well this game has had its ups and downs and unfortunatly more downs then ups.

This game so far has been the epitome of unplayable, i acctually bought the game installed it and found the FPS problem that has since been fixed but I have a problem now that no one seems capable of helping me solve.

A couple of months ago I gave the game a try getting to Rank 6 with the ford mustang, i have since not played due to work, I got round to playing again yesterday and after 4 hours and many crashes(in game,not a great driver) later I decided to call it an evening finishing on rank 14(I think not too sure) using the porsche gt3. Loaded the game this morning to find that all that progress has disappeared. 

I have tried installing the game, origin, enabling and disabling the cloud saving function. power cycling my computer 4 times and nothing has worked.

Has anyone had/found a solution to this.

    What is lost? progress as far as ranking or challenge list? did you exit the game using the exit to windows button. The challenge lists offer rewards of livery or skins, when you complete a mission or challenge the reward will not show, but the buttons may be 'cleared' even though you succeeded finishing the challenge. Did you sign in using origin and play on or offline....I went from rank 60 to 59 one time, after finishing 2 'grand tours in a row, that really bugged me

    hey guys,

    I think i may have found a solution to this, i sort of frankensteined it, it seems to be working for me as my progress is being saved.

    I was having the same problem , it was throwing me back to the original save at rank 6.

    I deleted the local save game at C:\Documents\Ghost Games\Need for Speed(TM) Rivals\settings

    Enable cloud sync and it will redownload the the save file. Start the game and then quit the game.


    Then disabled cloud sync, played a quick 2 minute run made 5000 SP and got to a hideout, then turned of the game using the quit to windows.

    Then turned on the game with the cloud sync off and hey the money was still there so then I turned cloud sync on and it told me the two saves were out of sync so I used the locally saved game file.

    Then i did another 2 minute run to check if that was saving and hey presto it saved. I would advise to close the game once every 30 minutes or so as I am unsure if this is 100% working at the moment.

    To me it seems that a recent update probably corrupted the cloud save files and local ones( im not a tech person), its the same problem you have in World of tanks with the replays, when you cant view a replay from 7.5 in 9.0 version of the game.

    Can anyone test this and confrim if it worked for you also, please note that this is on the PC unsure of how it will work on the consoles.

    P.S. it was not saving at all, everything that is saved locally was being erased in terms of ranks and cars, all the speedwall stuff was still there for example completing a race with a car i hadnt unlocked yet. Online version
