So you can still hear the engine but not as loud as before is that correct?

When you say you bought a new game do you mean a new copy of the same game? 

I don't think a new copy can fix a sound issue.

What's the platform you're playing on?

Have you tried changing the sound option in game?

    Yes I bought a new copy of nfs Rivals,I didn't know that there were sound options.I am playing the ps4 game on a 42"Sony tv.

    I think that I found the problem,I switched the operation of the brake and gas levers on the controller and the car sounds are normal again.

    @raceinsane4u

    In the menu Settings / Audio you should find the Dynamics setting.

     Dynamics

    Dynamics controls the Dynamic Range of the Audio.

    Higher values will be suitable when listening to the game at louder volumes, while lower values are more appropriate when the volume is quieter.

    Can you please try adjusting this setting? Also can you please try resetting Audio setting to default, option available in the same menu?
