I knew about not registering jumps/drifts/... when you play with "slower" people, to find out if it is true, try playing with only 1 friend on a drift event, and start drifting without your friend doing it. There is chances that your score wont register before your friends start drifing

Some specific type of drift events will not start counting your drift unless there are 2 or more players drifting at the same time. There will be a mark "DRIFT TOGETHER" shown at the drift sites.
