Re: Securom issue with NFS ProStreet on Win10

Yup, you got it.

Though being downloaded through Origin, a window pops up telling me that something went wrong. Securom brought out some news about that issue: http://www.securom.com/message.asp?m=module&c=8016&l=ge.

But that is the weird part - no CD needed, but Securom bugs around and pretty blocks me from playing 5 games now.

  • Did you update your bios

ADMIN EDIT: this can indeed be resolved by updating your BIOS. Please check with your motherboard manufacturer for updates and troubleshooting.

  • The counter-question to this is: How, if there is no update out for the BIOS?

Neither I can find any BIOS update on the website of Intel, nor one on the website of Medion (the manufacturer of my PC), or even on the website of AMI.

Besides, I would definitely need clear instructions on how to update a BIOS with the proper update...

Now, on the other hand I am mad as hell about EA and literally every other game publisher not bringing out an update to remove the DRM. Sure, they may not actively support the game, but they should care a little about that issue.

I do not have anything against DRM, as long as it works - but if it does not work (thus the game won't launch because of an old version of the DRM), I call it fraud, or whatever you make take it as, since you cannot play the game you paid for, and the publisher/developer is not doing anything against it.

  • @extsykush Hi, yeah, well. My PC changed, along with all the parts built inside, so the game(s) works like a charm. :-)
