I have briskly applied your first suggestion, and though I am unable to claim that it served my purpose I did encounter something peculiar while trying to apply your second one. As I was trying to reset my hosts files, I noticed that they were not existing in the folder mentioned by you on this earlier occasion, and furthermore that they were not simply invisible for I have applied your advice in regards to exposing hidden files - All of which would lead me to believe that some kind of error occurred during their initial generation, thereby making the system unable to properly recognize my connection to Origin services.
Should you have any information in regards to the acquisition of those files, or perhaps even be able to supply them, I would very much appreciate it.
