I would like to add my voice to this conversation. I'm having the exact same issues.
- I various browsers (all updated) I get the "Error 500" message after I hit log in.
- On a Samsung Galaxy S3 the message "NFS Network has stopped" after a few second on the "logging in to Origin" screen
- On an iPad mini the screen goes blank for a few seconds before I get redirected to the log in screen.
I have tried the various suggestions made in this topic, it made no difference.
I'm not very familiar with this sort of troubleshooting, but could location be an issue? I'm connected to the Dutch provider "KPN". On the Samsung device I've also tried logging in when connected to the mobile "Vodafone" network, this gives the same results.
I don't think this error is related to the location or to any kind of connectivity issue.
I've tried the NSF Network and it is working normally in my browser (PC.)
You should try to use CCleaner first if you've already tried to clear the DNS Cache: How to flush DNS Cache
Also, try to scan your PC for viruses, malware...
Additionally try disabling your firewall on the router to see if there is a conflict.
