Need for Speed Rivals PS3 Freezing

Some Need for Speed Rivals players on the PlayStation 3 are experiencing freezing issue when trying to load their game, preventing them from progressing.

If your game freezes when trying to load, safely disconnecting your network cable will allow you to progress through without your game freezing.

We're hard at work to provide a more permanent solution to this issue and will provide updates as soon as possible.

I have a copy of need for speed rivals (complete edition) on my PlayStation 3, It never did this before but when I open the game, it has an about 40% chance for it to crash when on the road, mostly when in events. Last time it crashed was a few seconds after I busted a racer in my Koenigsegg One:1 In a Hot Pursuit. Im not sure if it is corrupt data or need of reinstalling or that loads have this problem

Need For Speed rivals keeps crashing/freezing on PS3.

Whenever I try to load the game from the PlayStation menu it freezes on the part where it shows the driving tips.

Ive tried cleaning the disk and deleted all the data but still doesn't work...

Yesterday I bought the digital version of Rivals for PS3 (Too poor to own a current gen console, don't ask).

I have a huuuuge issue with it though...

When I first installed it I managed o complete the training just fine and completed some speedlists. But then when I reached certain areas, the game would just stop working, and immediately kick me back to the home screen. I reinstalled it, but now it was worse! Right after the intro while entering the garage to begin the tutorial, as soon as it showed the car (I tried both cop and racer with same results) it would crash to the home screen again...

The 3rd time I tried this, I did without updates or internet connection. Still same results...

Same here, no matter how many time I've tried and I've reformatted, reconnected my wifi, basically everything I could. I paid $45 for this game and for it to just break and start crashing like this infuriates me. I hope they find a solution but the benefit of the doubt is that they don't do last gen anymore...
