Shifting in need for speed most wanted 2012

Can u select between manual and automatic transmissions,  or is it like hot pursuit  where your stuck with automatic only?

    There are no options in game to enable manual gearing in most wanted.

    (missing a gear during an epic chase could be costly.)

Watch the driver, and listen to the number of gear changes (and the sounds) and you'll realize most, if not all, of the cars in the game are in fact manual transmission.

I did notice one of the cars (an automatic I assume) did actually seem to simulate an automatic transmission, and quite well too.

I do love manual transmission (and yes, I am in the US, stop with the stereotypes) and I wish they would have included it.

I just rented this game because i loved the old one but i will not buy this simply because there is no manual transmission. Racing games are probly my favorite genre of game, and a racing game without the simple feature of a manual is pathetic in my personal opinion.
