Thats defenitely not the case.
I hate it too if the objects are not spawned because you have already damaged it in the last race, but if the bet is to hit x objects, it does also count if you hit more.

KGB84, you might have noticed that, but still in case you haven't checked it out yet. They did something to this ''Hit 60 objects in side-bet'' thing. Now you need to reach them to 60. If You hit more, it still counts as a win bet. Cheers!
