Terminal Velocity. Discarded
Yo. I wanted to talk about the future of NFS. Payback if we're all being real is not a failure, but a disappointment. NFS has gone BACKWARDS in the past 5 years. NFS is not about drifting, jumping, or rallycross mixture stuff. It's all about RACING. RACING. RACING. How have we lost this concept of keeping it simple. The games are so complicated and redundant. I love a good story in a game, but when I'm watching more cutscenes than I'm racing, I'm not playing a racing game anymore. When I'm having to give up a race to keep it clean online, roll over the dirt, slow down more than needed, hit a truck instead of the other racer, it's not RACING anymore. The collision is so garbage. What happened to the old days? I don't know how much Ghosts cares about NFSs past, but remember Hot pursuit? Who deosn't right. How come we can go 4 way through an Apex and come out ok on an Xbox 360 game, but Not an XBOX One game?! Are you kidding? Why did the 360 do all the things racing games on modern consoles can't do. I know why. Different platforms need different studios... Why? Since I'm talking about past NFSs, why couldn't 2015s speelist setup be left alone and simply Copied n' pasted to payback? I'm a racer. A RACER. I DO NOT want to drift in the middle of a freaking speedlist man. No one does. No ONE except people who post nonsense in the forumn who end up flanking 5 months into the game. It's rediculous. All the wrong people are being acknowledged. We need a complete restart of the franchise. What we all need is a WIDE veriety of RACING with a WIDE veriety of cars that can't be manipulated by a faulty upgrade system. Spinning for cards in which different people have different luck getting different tiers and stacks of cards at the sake of the games' calculation? And this N0S Glitch thing that has been discovered on Payback I have also found works on 2015 AND Rivals...
This is what's wrong. Stop trying to improve past games. The entire state of the franchise was already set up for Ghost games... I shouldn't have to tell anyone in that Position what the past of NFS includes and what the future beholds. Each game was unique, independent to itself and had their own unique and very manageable and creative Physics. Not that Paybacks physics are bad, but almost as bad as 2015, they are a little inconsistent. Ghost and everyone else associated with the next production should go back and play all of the old NFSs. And get good at them, for you will understand the full value of those games.
If this franchise keeps moving in this direction of trying to perfect the same concept over and over again, no one will want to buy the product anymoe. That my friends is called insanity. Putting the same input in expecting a different result. Thought you are changing the face of the product each year, you are not changing the character of the product. The character of the product I think, needs to be changed. As do many other NFS fans. We want the keep loving the product but it's hard to love the franchise when it keeps * on our expectations. Our love for this is slipping, and I'm simply telling you why.
I don't have a solution for this problem other than for the creators to do what creators do. What your missing is in front of your nose. Look at the franchise. The logo you made. Remember what NFS was 20+ years ago? It was a simulator but MORE importantly, a RACING game. With no trickery or nonsense. If I watch a "Scary" movie, I don't expect to see some or any comedy in it. If I go to a Gym to work out, I don't expect a buffet full of attractive but processed foods man. Quite giving what we don't need, please.
