The car classes...

Hey!

Now that we have some information about the car classes, I was wondering if it is possible to use for example a drag car in a race match, or in a mission for runner class.

Nowhere better than here to talk about it! I personally think that it would be cool!

Hey, a Great question you pose here.

Here is what I know....as many already know this but it's worth repeating for those who might not know.

The game has five tiers, and there will be cars that can be built in most of the five tiers.

So based on your example of that yummy  1965 Ford Mustang  it's a Runner & it's a Drag Tier Car.

I just am not sure how many other tiers that car or any car could be customized in the game until launch day.

We will all, however soon learn what cars & what Tier limitations each car will have as to how we can use them in the game.

So for now...we're just picking straws until the game is officially released.

    @HowlingBeast Captain obvious bravo.🙂

Well, of course, it's one car per class...have you ever seen an NFS game that had two different classes in a single class?

Think hard on that...The answer is NO.😛

Yes i have in NFS Carbon. you could race any class in any race also you could use any tier in any race (although later in the game tier 1/2 would make it hard to win)

also i don't remember any game the forced you to use a certain class except back when class=Tier even then (HP2 for example) you could do a single race with 1 opponent of any class/tier. also some of the games allowed you to use any car and the opponents matched

also what do you mean by one car per class? did you mean one class per race?

IMO they shouldn't restrict it, they should show a recommended build but let you ultimately decide

Just wanted to point out that you used tier instead of class

Class in which build it is like Runner, Drift, Drag, Race and Offroad

Tier is performance rating tier 1 is slowest tier 3 is fastest

@anti-loser1 Well my fault for any confusion..I should have clarified I was talking about NFS titles that had Tiers that restricted players as they leveled up in the game.

Also in Carbon, you could not just hop in a Corvette on day one in the first race....you had to rank up to higher tier cars.

For the most part, NFS games never gave you the high-end cars right away....but if I'm wrong  I'll be happy to say sorry. 😇

you are right that Most NFS games did not give you the fast cars right away

for carbon it was the same, you started with tier 1 and worked you way up until you unlocked tier 2 and 3. however you could still race tier 1 or 2 later in the game as it did not restrict you. your opponents however are tier 3 at that stage. i have done this a few times to give me a challenge. so in a way the game was not set to be fair and match the tier you were using. i hope payback will match the tier
