Trial will not launch on Origin

Trial will not launch on Origin

I downloaded the game yesterday to a drive that I usually save all my games on. It wouldn't launch and when I called support they made me aware of the 2nd of November trial release date. So I waited and today on the official NFS facebook account they announced the Trial release. Still, the game wouldn't launch, it would open the window reminding me of the 10 hours and then after pressing play the game would appear momentarily in the task manager under Origin along with some activation process and then quickly disappear. I tried restarting and repairing the game. I haven't tried reinstalling it yet because I didn't want to spend another hour and a half (but if it really will have to come down to it I will). After playing with running it on administrator and launching it a few times I did get one error message that I accidentally closed. I remember it saying something along the lines of error registration or activation. Is anyone else having this issue? If so have you found any fixes?

EDIT: got the error message! (attached)

    Apparently my origin client never updates even after restarts and re-logins. I uninstalled the Origin client and reinstalled it from the website and using the new updated client the game launched without a problem! It's strange that the outdated client didn't update on its own.

  • I've the same issue... The game launch , the origin overlay show a message and the game close... without any error message...

    I've paid for the origin access to test the game before the launch...

    Is there something we can do?

    @lcemman@BlueAntShekhter

    Can you guys let us know if deleting the license file (nfs_payback.dlf or similar) from the following location on your machine allows you to play:

    C:\ProgramData\Electronic Arts\EA Services\License

    That file should be recreated the next time you try to play and hopefully that should be it.

    Do let us know, thanks.

    @EA_BarryThanks for your response.

    Now the game is launching but we need to remove the license file every time we start the game.

    The game is unplayable... I've a frame rate of 1 image per 5 secondes in game and in the main menu.

    I've tried to set lower graphical setting even if I've a GTX 1080 but it still unplayable.

    What can we do for that?

    I also loose 2h of the trial with the test I do, can you reset it or do something?

    Thx in advance

    This doesn't work for me, in fact all my files in there have weird names. It seems the one NFS is making is 1035208_oa.dlf.

    Also, reinstalled both Origin and the game and no luck with that either.
