Tuning is a Nightmare!!

Tuning...!!

I have almost 23 hours played, I have earned almost $1.4 million but now I have hit a dead end. I find myself unable to tune my cars sufficiently, I mean it doesn't matter how much money I have to throw at the tune shop it wouldn't help as all the parts are worse.

#1 The first issue is there is no incentive to buy parts from the tune shop if you have trade-in tokens. The trade in parts are just better to a point. I have been burned a few times making a trade in and getting worse parts.

#2 Most parts you win from races are usually worse unless the car is stock.

#3 I'm not a fan of nitrous being a perk. I preferred the system in NFS 2015 where you bought the different sized bottles one its more realistic and two every time I do manage to acquire a better part I usually lose some of my nitrous.

#4 Winning or buying a higher level part doesn't always mean you get better specs. It makes no sense, for example I won a level 9 a while back but using it rather than my level 6 part meant I was getting worse specs, makes no sense. Higher level = Higher performance it's that simple.

#5 I also have to say I'm missing being able to upgrade obvious things from NFS 2015 like suspension, brake, anti-roll bars, handbrake, differential. I mean the card system is a nice idea but it's taken the feeling of progressing through the game and having your car get better away from us. I am currently on races that require level 310 none of my cars can get close even though I could afford parts if they were available. I even tried buying another higher spec car and can't reach the required spec.

Don't get me wrong keep the card system at the end of races, have it be a free part upgrade from the tune shop or something. Although that would require the parts to advance along with your level in the game or at least be somewhat better than the parts you own.

I have a lot more input on this, but if people could please join in the conversation and share your experience with this issue so that Ghost and EA can take some notice and fix the issue, that would be great thanks.

  • @YieldingAxe I do not like the tuning control, no fine-tuning like in NFS 2015 can configure the car as you're comfortable to ride

I think there doing this to make it a grind that people will get fed up with and spend real money to help upgrade cars from there store....Welcome to EA

  • Yeah but its impossible to even grind to get the cars to the level I need for races. So I agree its completely set up to force the micro transactions from the store. It's a shame really because I was enjoying the game up to that point.

Only way I got a car to level 399 was to buy the Regera that was already 390 stock. I completely share your concern about speed cards making your cars stats worse even though they raise its level. I won quite a few level 310 races with a 275 car just because every card I got was making it's stats worse.

  • I have a level 294 drag car that can't win the level 310 drag races. Its frustrating because I want the game to be challenging but fun. However constant losing is ruining this. I don't see why parts in the tune shop aren't always better than what you have.
