Unplayable online due to lag

I'm wondering if anyone has been able to do a race online without any lag...? I play on the 360 and when playing online all other racers seems to be out of sync by anywhere from 2-3 seconds to a minute. This makes it quite interesting to do races, or even start them. Doing a race is like racing in a singleplayer session as you never see any of the other racers. Conversation gets entertaining as all racers think they are in first place! Everyone's a winner right!? I have heard people say that it is due to the host having a bad connection. This might be true in some cases, but to test this I set up 2 Xbox 360's on a gigabit network hooked up to the Internet with a 100 Mbit/s fiber line. As I have two copies of the game I set up a private session to test out this theory.

I was not surprised to learn that in this scenario the lag was just as bad. The other player was out of sync by 4-5 seconds. If the other player crashed into me... the crash never happened on my screen. The only thing that seemed to work with no delay was pursuit tech... Although I could not see the player when it was triggered!

To me this indicates that there must be a centralized server involved in these sessions... and it must be either seriously bugged or overloaded.

Another thing I've noticed when using OverWatch is that navigator mode seems more accurate than the map in-game for the location of other players.

Hoping for a update that fixes the online issues with this game... as it stands NFS Rivals is a singleplayer game marketed as a multiplayer game. I will give it another couple of weeks before I get my refund.
