Wants verses reality
Its sad really that these days to many cant see past their own nose. What I mean is that recently I have seen more and more blunt , demanding , rude and annoying post in regards to Paybacks current ...
My post has nothing to do with your economics debate. Your debate is entirely 180 of what Im saying. Since you seem very intent in talking "investment" and " market shares " and such I will simply say that you, me and all who bought this game and every other EA game did so knowing full well their current track record with games. Investing in a company that has repeatedly pull the same stunt over and over on everyone is on us the " once again buyer "not them. If i sink money into a company that has never given return on my investment 10 times plus who,s fault do you think it is at that point ? So it comes down to the buyer in the end. You cant put your effort into some one who has let you down multiple times and still expect sympathy man , i mean hit your hand with a hammer once maybe twice I will feel sorry for you . If you don't learn to not do it and do it 20 time s more then you are one your own as I don't feel bad for you any more and you cant cry hardship ether.
My post is saying the same as @XGCSith is saying, to many here want what they want right this instant and don't even bother to read or check on the game progress else where . If it isn't posted on the front page in bright neon letters or stuck to their foreheads then they just go off on a rant yelling boycott or what ever suits them . Ghost has posted update progresses on the front page clearly stating what they have done in the first patch and whats coming down the pipe line. As well as @XGCSith said like 20 times here and else where that they have stated they are listening and they are working on it. Cant work on a game if you are on here answering every last complaint that pops up and do a count that would be a full time job for someone ! . The game has only been out for month now and we have one patch already and more is coming but as per usual some want everything now and never bother to get their info straight and correct before they go off on a rant.
Funny thing is is I never see anyone on here with enough programing skills or experience in related field stating in clear fact how it can be done in such a fast time as per every ones demands. Can you offer up a quick reliable fix ? can I ? can any one ? No , so how do we back up the demands that yell " What taking so long ? " "this is BS it should be fixed by now" " we want 20 more cars right now " " Where steering wheel support? " and on and on. I agree with some of these things its only the execution of the request and the " give it to me now " mentality that's getting old on here.
We can alter my original point all day long and make it what ever anyone wants but the simple fact is that its about self entitlement and narrow minded demands instead of fact based constructive criticism that comes from those who think their opinions and thoughts are hard fact and proper reality which they are not 9 times out of ten. Its like working hard on something big for less then a month from start and already you have that annoying person behind you going " Is it done ?, how about now ?, now ?...ok now ?...whats taking so long ..now ?" all the while not offering anything to help.
Is this your first EA game you ever bought ? I doubt it so don't play it like we are victims , we all know full well how it works with EA so if you bought it you cant cry about a broken game. How is there any debate to it. ??? Not one person here is going to say well this was a surprise . If its that big of deal to you then you should have waited NOT BOUGHT THE GAME and seen how the game stacked up after release. No one here was forced to buy the game including me . No one pointed a gun to your head and said " buy it or else!" . You got your money out and made a purchase under your own free will. Maybe next time stop and wait before you buy. We made the free decision to buy it , so now we make our points like adults, wokr with ghost and hope for the best or we shut up and stop wining like entitled 5 year olds.
As well , I am lost here, I mean really where are you going with this grand display of fancy words and economics, consumer debate stuff ? .You are stuck in a conversation that has nothing to do with what I have explained twice to you. See ! this is the mentality i am talking about. You and others are going to see it only in your point of view and perspective no matter what other say or prove clearly. Even when others say that's not what they or I,m saying you people still cling firmly to your illusion of what it is. I actually see some of your points but again its has NOTHING to do with what im saying in the first post. I really think you should start your own post with this "economics " thing your going on about.
If i may edit that just a touch cause i agree with most of it my friend.
Guys we need to stop fighting each other and realize our one common goal , helping and getting EA and Ghost to fix some issues with the game.
there is a growing trend of big companies releasing unfinished content to make the published release date. EA is not alone in this, as Ubisoft (remember Assassin's Creed Unity?), Microsoft (Forza Horizon 3 and recently Forza Motorsport 7) and a few others are all doing it.
It seems that the companies are using the gaming community as open beta testers, so that they can list of all the complaints and problems and fix them as they're happening in the real world. As a business model this makes some sense, as who is better equipped than the people that love gaming? Of course they're not actually going to admit that's what's happening, because that would be financial suicide, but there does seem to be a pattern emerging now that internet connections are faster and it's getting harder to fit all of the data needed onto a single Blu-Ray disc. Forza 7 is actually 100Gb all told, and you get 50Gb on a single disc, go figure.
As consumers, we have a choice not to pre-order or purchase a game on release, and wait for the "unofficial open beta" to finish before the game is actually fixed to the point of being playable. The consumer does have some rights, and if they pre-order or purchase a game that isn't as advertised, they are entitled to a full refund. However, if after a week or so of playing it, you find that the feature hasn't appeared, and want your money back, you can't, because you've already been using it as it was intended.
So if a feature you wanted isn't in the game at launch, it's your choice whether to get a refund there and then, or carry on playing the game until the feature you want is released. Personally I'd rather a game was released as a finished article, but it seems that the gaming community are the ones getting the rough end of the stick. If I REALLY want a game, I'll happily participate in the "open beta" for a few months. If I can wait though, I'll tend to buy around 3 months after release, as by then it should be pretty much fixed.
TL:DR - You pay your money, you make your choice, you live with the consequences

Everything you said is valid but that line right there is worth 1000 points my friend. I cant see it any different, I know what EA,s track record is like. I read , watch and see the issue with the games they release regardless of the developer under them so at this point after a long time of repeat "offenses" even if i was living under a rock i know full dam well what to expect from them now. So if i go and buy a game from the person who have repeatably messed up my other game from them at what point do i deserve sympathy and the right to demand or complain ?. Its like taking that cheating girlfriend back a dozen times. Who in their right mind is going to fell sorry for me at that point. I mean on the 12th time its perfectly clear i have not and will not learn and will just keep making the same mistake over and over.
I hate that it has come to this because we all know damn well EA can make some really great stuff as even in payback there is stuff that is awesome and fun and shows there is really great work that can be done but the final over all game always fall short seemly because of time and support. Anyways I have made my point here enough so Im done here 🙂
So good points my friend well said.
