why are cops so blatently broken? who did this?

So I've got my ride pretty built up but I've noticed something. Why is it that once I hit heat level 3 it is literally not possible to shake the cops? Why do cops not seem to be taking any damage at all when I ram them? Why can I T bone a cop at 180mph and he just laughs at me and I come to a screeching hault? Why are cop cars invincible? How is it that at level 2 I can have fun with the cops and actually have an enjoyable experience with a game of cat and mouse, and yet the second it hits level 3 I'm surrounded by cops who are immortal, have the same motor the starship Enterprise uses in star trek? Where do I find this magical warp drive for my car?

These are pretty basic questions. Questions that by the looks of the message board I am not alone in asking.

You need to fix this with the next patch. I did not spend money on this to have my fun taken from me by simply playing the game. This is the first EA title I have bought for myself In over 6 years due to the company's presitory practices, and when I decided to finally give them another shot this is what I am greeted to?

One last very simple question. And I honestly hope a moderator or someone actually answers me, when will this blatent problem be addressed?
