I realy hope they bring back more games like we had on PS1 and PS2
I strongly liked the series until Underground.
Underground 2 was a tiny litle bit less good then Underground in my opinion and same goes for most wanted compared to underground 2.
After that the series dropped hard.
I skipped some or only played a demo to realise that they don`t deserve my money and time.
in the last years i tried to return to arcade racers and was shocked how boring and bland they are.
Pls let us buy cars with money and not with reputation or folowers or * like that.
Pls consider open world to be optional. Better consider focusing on making amacing racing circuits instead of a boring and repititive open world.
I like a good career system where i work towards earning money for better cars instead of getting them thrown at my after every second race.
i like the feels of fast precise driving with adrenalin capped to earn the rewards. My favorite HP Game would be Hot Pursuit 2 closely folowed by underground 1. Thats how arcade racing should feel.
- 5 years ago@Thors_Lightsaber Actually PS2 Blackbox era is what Ghost has been pretending for all these years.PS1 Distinctive NFS wasn't EA's main target since only Real Criterion did it in 2010/2013 without following EA's direction and instruction. So next gen NFS will very likely still be a copycat Black Box NFS and this remastered decade old game may be the last of Cannonball NFS we will ever get.

I've played all NFS entry's on all Playstation consoles.. and that's aside (NFS World Tour, NFS Live & NFS Nitro) every entry the series ever had.
I really like(d) the NFS series, but to me quality was better before they went "Open World"... with NFS HP II (on PS2) as climax of the series (in my opinion).. I also liked Underground 1 more then 2..
Wouldn't it be nice for the series to relaunch it self with spectaculair A->B tracks + shortcuts as it was before... it would allow more variation and the possibility to add som cool breathtaking effects.. (crashing helicopters, tree"s falling down, Rocks tumbling down)...
It woud feel more "'new" to all gamers then another open world with a coastel and mountain area..
- 5 years ago@Seijouro Open world is a mainstream of current games. From Forza Horizon to Cyberpunk 2077,it's hard to lure gamers to driving around a fixed track that's not about real track's pro racing(Assetto Corsa or GT for example)Also ever since Horizon became a big name after FH3 went to PC platform too, open world became more popular than ever.Even NFS itself is copying what Burnout Paradise and Forza Horizone did in the past.EA like I've said is a money-focused company. If majority of gamers like open-world as they are now,NFS is open-world for more sales and profits. If closed-course is mainstream in following years, open world will be dropped again.
