[xbox 360] - Sound issues/audio cuts out

Just bought this game yesterday. Played it today for the first time. The in game sound keeps cutting out for a few seconds then comes back. Keeps happening over and over. Anybody else having this problem? Or know any solution?

I think you can also work around this issue by using a custom playlist. I hear the audio stuttering most often when tearning around on the freeway, but haven't noticed it since switching to a custom playlist. I guess the ideal solution would be to create a custom playlist of the NFS:MW soundtrack.

Of course, this doesn't correct the unpleasant frame rate drops, but at least it's less apparent as audio isn't affected.

Nope. This doesn't correct the issue at all.

EA any patches or fixes for this?  It seems absurd that we get no patches for major problems like this.  I'm going to no longer purchase EA games if this is the case.  Between this game and Battlefield 4 I think I've had enough!  Forza Horizon has no issues like this I guess Turn 10 will get my money from now on.

So I'm assuming that the lack of any responses from EA means they are not working on this problem?  It's disappointing that the gaming industry is ok with releasing buggy software.

The audio skips so frequently on Xbox 360.  It happens going in and out of tunnels during crashes... whenever a lot of graphics or audio changes happen the audio cuts out.   This on the Xbox 360 S with a 5.1 audio setup.  No other games have this issue just NFS Most Wanted.

  • I am also having this issue, however it is not just Need for Speed Most Wanted; I first noticed the audio stutter when my husband pulled out Dragon Age 2 for a replay.  Extremely annoying. I can only assume this is affecting EA games since the others I have aren't affected by this.  Also playing on XBox 360 and didn't experience this previous to the most recent patch. Thanks.

As someone mentioned the Muliplayer patch is the cause of this problem.  EA needs to patch the patch!   I deleted the Multiplayer patch and now the audio is working properly in Dolby Digital with no cut outs.   EA please patch the Multiplayer patch!

Bumping an old thread in shock to see that this has been a problem since 2013 and nothing has been done to fix it.

Picked up the game recently after not trying any of the new generation NFS.  Had the same audio problem after installing patch it was so annoying that I literally could not continue playing the game after 15 minutes. Simple HDMI cable to a Sony TV.  I can confirm that if you switch to stereo instead of Dolby 5.1 it fixes the problem but this is a huge inconvenience as this changes the sound to everything on your Xbox 360 system.

Man I am very disappointed in EA for simply not taking care of this problem after so long.  Definitely not going to go buy any of the other Need For Speed I missed out on after this experience.  Really shows how much they care for their games, I'm sure its a simple audio glitch that they could have fixed.
