this issues is still going even after all the updates
Same for me. Still crashing numerous times. Because of that I missed several of the new cars, because I couldn't get the game to run online...
I found a new fix, I think though.. I booted up the game again just now, and thought I'd try something else: Just wait it out. And to my surprise, it worked, no crashing to dashboard. I think that confirms my theory even more so, that the game has trouble loading in the map or something like that (when connected to internet).
My steps:
- Start up the game
- press 'resume career/campaign"
- and just wait, until the loading symbol in the bottom right corner disappears. Took about 5-10 minutes for me
After that I could drive away with my car, and finally get one of the new cars, the BMW with 10 hours left over.
Still, workarounds like this shouldn't be needed, what we need is a decent, permanent fix.

When I was doing the campain/collectibles or acheivement in early january I had to launch the game 4 to 5 times in a rows in order to play but sometimes even after 5 reboot my games still crash so I gived up and tried the next day. Now that I got 100% I just try like 5 times to log in each day until I can get to the abandoned car. Somehow I manage to get all of them except the last one still working on it.

The freeze and crash is still here...after the update
- I tried 5 times online and kept crashing when at the "Finding an online game" or whatever. I turned my Xbox offline and it worked perfectly the first time. Something is wrong with EA's servers and needs to be fixed because this is one of my favorite games
- Doesn't work to start the game disconnected to the internet if you own a digital copy microshit won't let one use a digital copy offline...
Although if you get the game loaded go to the options and switch it to single player. That will likely help - Anonymous8 years agoKnow this post is old but found a workaround for title screen freeze. Go offline in your Xbox settings. Then load the game to single player. Go back to Xbox settings cut it back online. Then find a new session on rivals and your good to go
It's still crashing EA fix this promblem I'm getting tired of the crashing of the game sending me back to dash board I will Soo. Stop playing all EA GAMES THEY DONT LIKE FIXING THEM WHEN THY BRAKE THEM.
Yo, mine did the same exact thing as yours and I finally figured it out. If your using a Ethernet cord for your 1x make sure it has connection if it doesn’t move the cord down a few spots. Or you can just use wireless but make sure you have a good connection then you should be fine. I thought this whole time it was my Xbox but it wasn’t
