NFS Unbound Needs Cross-Progression
A lot of the games in recent years has become staples in maintaing its relevance with a feature known as Cross-Play. Need For Speed Unbound does have this feature which was introduced very late in its predecessor - Need For Speed Heat. That allowed you to play with anyone, even your friends regardless of platform. However, there is even a new cross platform feature that has started popping up fairly recently in games that should become an important staple that is currently lacking with Need For Speed, and that is Cross-Progression. Cross-Progression allows you to play your favorite games on ANY platform without losing any progress you had on the platform you last played the game on.
With Cloud Gaming becoming a new thing, it is practically important for players to be able to play their favorite games on any platform that they desire without having to start over. Games like Minecraft, Among Us, Fortnite, Fall Guys, Apex Legends, Rocket League, these titles became relevant not only because of the new content, but also because of the convenience for the player to play on any platform, even on the cloud. I played Unbound on PC and I am not a keyboard and mouse player, I am more of a controller player. It was the only way for me to play it at the time due to only having last gen consoles. But when I discovered that you can play it on the Cloud Gaming service that came with Xbox Game Pass and it plays well on there, that was when I realised that Unbound lacked cross-progression. That was when I lost interest in playing Unbound. I don't want the hassle to set my controllers up for my PC and play it with my friends via Steam. It is a complete mess to set up and I would actively preferred to play it on my last gen console via Cloud Gaming and have fun continuing from where I left off without the hassle and with the convenience of being able to play it whenever I like to play it on whatever platform it is available on. Combining that with platform exclusive DLC and you get players building up their most wanted collections that they can use it whenever they want to use it on whatever platform they want to play the game on. It is especially great for Nintendo Switch since you can take that platform "on the go". Imagine being able to play it outside at the park or playing it in the library with headphones on, or play it with your friends at their place couch style.
If EA Sports, Apex Legends and Battlefield has it, I don't see a reason why Need For Speed can't have it. It's literally just storing data on your account and loading it in platforms that you can play it on. I am suggesting this a feature that should be a necessity and I'm giving you feedback that will help bring new players to the game and give it the attention that it needed. Cloud Gaming should be the norm and Cross-Progression is a must for popular games like this.
