I was playing today (online freeroam), everything was fine. Went idle because I had to answer my phone. When I came back I had an error message: "You lost your online connection" - clicked "ok" or "continue" or whatever the option was, got a loading screen, the green bar filled up and then nothing happened, I was stuck on this screen. Waited for a minute or two, then alt-F4'ed out. Restarted. All progress gone, offline and online. Online it still tells me I've completed Season 6, and I think my rank may have still been there, but I'm getting character selection, then beginner car selection. So I lost all cars and all money in offline and in online, I haven't checked yet if the challenges are still marked as complete or what's with all the cosmetic rewards. Very very annoying. Is there no cloud save or server-side save I can revert to?

Please share any steps you've tried to far to resolve the issue: tried "Repair Game" in EA App; tried restoring a year-old backup of the save folder
i notice this you tuber commented that he lost his file due to this corrupted file & some how he got like billions of dollars back. so how is this possible
