Controller disconnects during race and ignores inputs, about to uninstall

Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? PLAY THE GAME ON PC WITH A CONTROLLER AND YOUR CONTROLLER WITH DISCONNECT SENDING YOUR CAR INTO A WALL.
What happens when the bug occurs? CONTROLLER DISCONNECTS DURING RACE SENDING CAR IN RANDOM DIRECTIONS CAUSING USERS TO LOSE THE RACE.
What do you expect to see? A fix, a proper fix for the controller disconnect. I expected this game to be playable after months of waiting on an update.
During gameplay whether single player or online, the game will disconnect the connection to the controller or ignore the user inputs causing the car to crash to drive off the track into a wall or whatever.
This is incredibly frustrating, I'm getting to that point were I seriously just want to uninstall this game for PC.
The Devs don't seem to be addressing this issue and would rather work on console which is absolutely insane to me. JUST FIX IT FOR PC.
ITS BEEN MONTHS WITH NO FIX!??
