Game hitting insane loads and temps on CPU

Hi, I know that this has been an issue on the past, but recently, after I took a hiatus from the game, it started happening to me, to the point I uninstalled the game fearing it might cook my CPU. The game suddenly hits a huge spike, getting my cpu to 95% total usage (with the game taking 50% of it) and my temps going up to 95 ºC. Checked the integrity of my game files on Steam, didn't work. Uninstalled and reinstalled, didn't work. Drivers are all up to date (have auto update enabled and always check manually just in case). Game config and laptop specs below:

game config:

- Graphic global settings: Medium

- DLSS: no

- Vsync: yes

- Resolution 1080p fullscreen

Laptop specs:

Model: Acer Nitro v15

CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 7735HS

GPU: NVIDIA RTX 4060 Laptop GPU 8 GB

RAM: 32 GB

Storage: 1 TB SSD

If there is a fix planned or any other solution than the default one EA throws at people, let me know, since it's a bummer that I can't enjoy a game from a franchise I love without my fans cosplaying as a jet engine every 5 minutes.

  • You might wanna try the user.cfg tweak and set the amount of cores in use according to your hardware

  • @Sjonny30already tried it, didn't work for me. If I understood correctly you are referring to the NFS Heat fix, which could be kinda hit or miss.
