Game wont let me use controller and keyboard only goes 60

As the title says my game wont let me use a controller no matter what i do. Ive had both steam and epic versions of the game and nothing i do lets me use a controller. Ive used 3 different xbox controllers and still nothing. At this point i have a useless game thats just making me mad. 

I have tried adding it as a non steam game and that doesnt work either. Someone have a fix please!!!!?
