Gearbox automatically shifts down to 1st gear after a jump, even in manual

Summarize your bug After taking a jump, the gearbox will switch down to 1st in the air, which means the car slows down dramatically once you land, I play in manual so it shouldn't be changing gears for me.
How often does the bug occur? Often (50% - 99%)
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Take a jump at high speed, release the gas in the air, and before you land get back on the gas, the car should have needlessly shifted down to 1st gear. The car I'm using is a 488 Pista with the 7.0 V8 upgraded to lvl 329, but it happens with other cars
What happens when the bug occurs? Car unnecessarily shifts down to 1st gear after a jump, even in manual mode
What do you expect to see? For the car to stay in the gear I left it in before the jump

Very annoying issue, it's as though the car pulls the handbrake for you out of nowhere
