@EA_Illium I already have in my first post here, with a possible reason why it's happening, but just to be sure I'll do it again
Platform: Xbox series X
Tag: Doryzzkendy
Region: Australia
Error implied: yes, non stop since first getting it
Date of start: a few days after Vol 3 update
Anything else: Slow sync on startup and randomly giving already unlocked items from EA play, speed pass and pre-order bonus
Attempts to fix: Checked Nat type, didn't work, restarted console, didn't work either, restarted game, didn't work as well, uninstalled and reinstalled the game, again it didn't work.
Possible reason: Item overflow due to a few things I noticed. One when the game goes to Synchronise with the online servers, it takes way longer then before the issue (roughly 2 to 5 second before issue, now roughly 1 to 3 minutes of waiting for it), Two every so often when I load into the garage before finding a server it will give me everything that I already own again which might be duplicating them (Items in question being the EA play cars, all speed pass items currently unlocked and pre-order bonuses) which becomes annoying to see the "New" tag everywhere when you go. And three I tested it if it was the game itself or my internet by loading into a account that has nothing on it and the game doesn't come up with the issue then, so account items have to be a main cause of the issue.
Even though I've already posted this, if it help fix it, then it need to be done since I've been playing since the palace edition early access and have around 25 days worth of gameplay on Unbound.
I hope what I've found is the reason why it's happening
Yeah I’m also having it too. I can’t even get into a pregame lobby. Similar to nfs heat having to many cars bricks the game. Same here I’m thinking.

Hey Everyone,
Thanks for sharing what you are running into with NFS Unbound. If you are still running into error code FTCL5001 try the following steps based on your platform.
PSN
Spoiler- Manage your downloadable content (DLC) on PlayStation
- Clear the systems cache (Close the game completely > Turn off the console > Wait 30-60 seconds > Restart and Relaunch)
- Verify you signed into your PSN account
- Check for updates
- Restore Licence
- Try the steps in our Connection and Advance Connection Guides
- Open your PS5 NAT Type
- Change DNS settings (You can use the public google DNS primary: 8.8.8.8, secondary: 8.8.4.4, unless there is a different DNS you would rather use)
- If possible, check if this happens on a separate account or separate internet network.
- Entering Safe Mode and Rebuild your PS database
Xbox
Spoiler- Quit the game and other running apps from Quick Resume (For Series X|S consoles)
- Remove any connected device, or additional USB's from the console then restart the Xbox and check
- Check if you are an insider build of Xbox... If so please return to the latest stable build and try again.
- If possible, check if this happens on a separate account or separate internet network.
- Check for updates
- Try the steps in our Connection and Advance Connection Guides
- Open you're Xbox NAT Type
- Change DNS settings (You can use the public google DNS primary: 8.8.8.8, secondary: 8.8.4.4, unless there is a different DNS you would rather use)
- Remove then Readd Gamer Tag to console
- Persistent Storage
- Go to settings > Select Device & Connections > Then Blue-Ray
- Select Persistent Storage > Clear Persistent Storage
- Alternate Mac:
- Go to settings > Select General > Then Network settings
- Go to advanced settings > Alternate Mac address > Select clear
- Select restart
PC
Spoiler- EA App's Cache (Top Left Menu > Help > App Recovery)
- Repair/Verify your game based on which client you are launching from
- EA App - Repair (My Collection > Tile Dots > Repair)
- EGS - Repair (Library > Tile dots > Manage > Verify)
- Steam - Verify in your library
- Run the System File Checker tool then Check for Windows and GPU updates
- Default your game to the high-performance GPU, AMD Settings | Nvidia Settings | Windows Settings
- Check for other applications that may be limiting EA App or Game performance
- Connection and Advance Connection Guides
- Untick the options in LAN Settings (make sure nothing is checked under Proxy Server)
- Change DNS settings (You can use the public google DNS primary: 8.8.8.8, secondary: 8.8.4.4, unless there is a different DNS you would rather use)
If you continue getting the error message let us know the following:
- What type of network are you using?
- Are you on an insider or beta build of your console's OS?
- Are you getting any other error messages?
- If possible please share a Video of this error...
- If on PC please share a DxDiag and EA error report ID...

@EA_Illium I found out what's causing it, if you have so many cars in you garage, the game bugs out and won't work, its around 70 cars is when it happens*, I ended up selling some cars and even with the error popping up I could load in multiplayer consistently, but would still drop out when returning to the safehouse, bought more cars and it's returned to not letting me enter an multiplayer lobby, hopefully if you relay it to Criterion they might hopefully find out why this happens and either hot fix it or put it in the next update.
*Only including the multiplayer garage, not single player
EDIT: trigger point is 70 cars, sold one and was able to enter multiplayer consistently with no issues except for entering a safehouse and getting kicked, still have the error pop up but I'm sure it's tied to number of cars you have in multiplayer garage, somewhat less than the seventy cars that trigger the incapability of joining a multiplayer lobby

@Doryzzkendy I did that too a while back...sold like half my cars but it put at more like 90 cars and then I was able to get back online .I have built my garage back up to 117 cars and I also still get the error code FTCL5001 but can still get online to a server ( its hit or miss, sometimes i can get online and sometimes not)...however every time I go back into a safe house it kicks me offline.So yes, if you sell cars it can get you back online but evidently that number must be different for everyone and not just set to a number 70 cars..I did delete half my wraps though putting me at around 25 wraps.So maybe my garage limit of 90+ cars is different from your 70 cars because I have less wraps...either way I agree with you...criterion or EA need to definitely look into why we are having to delete cars and wraps just to get online and also why we still get the error code FTCL5001 and getting kicked offline when we return to a safe house.
Maybe, cause I have almost 100 wraps as I make new wraps for my cars that I own, as a result making my number of cars lower due to having more wraps, but all in all is still a huge issue none the less, at least finding out the problem is a huge step to fixing it
EDIT: also @EA_Illium could you also ask Criterion to get rid of the 100 wrap limit, it's annoying for people like me who like making wraps to have to stop when ever we hit 100 wraps in both offline and online, even if it's a downloaded one which in full honesty shouldn't count towards the limit in the first place if it wasn't made by said player

@Doryzzkendy Yeah I had 100 wraps at first too...and noticed once I deleted almost all of them I was able to get back online...it's almost like a guessing game...how many wraps or how many cars do I delete so I can play online lol..It's frustrating I know...especially when you spend all that time to grind for the cars and not to mention the time it takes to make the wraps.I had some sweet wraps that are now gone.Somehow a wrap you make can get corrupted for some unknown reason and there's no way to know which one it is so you have to just keep deleting each wrap one by one 😔...I was really hoping that the Vol.3 update would have fixed these bugs

I can't even get online now...Internet is good but keep getting error code FTCL5001 and kicked back to homescreen ...Can't even get into the online garage....very frustrating
Hi guys. I have been playing unbound on my series x from launch. Recently after the volume 3 update it slowly has been getting worse connecting in online mode. Sometimes it will work for around 15 mins then kick me out. But for the last few weeks it hasn't been working at all.
It would load into the lobby menu, but comes up with this error (see attached pic) then when I try to find a game it loads into it but then eventually kicks me out before I even in a game. It puts me back to main menu and says I am off-line and have to connect again. It's been around 3 weeks since I have been able to in an online game.. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling and also disconnected my internet to see if thats an issue. But still has the same problem. Every other online game I play, I have no issues.
