Re: NFS Unbound - Unable to launch on Steam Oct, 23rd

@OGoldenSilver
It shouldn't be at work. If that file exists, you are exposed to a server-side block.This should be the folder content.

IGO files may multiply every time you run the game. That doesn't matter. You may have different numbers of files. The important thing is that the file I mentioned does not exist.

    Why are we getting blocked from the server?

    @Mavark

    The problem is not server blocking. This is due to the game's denuvo protection. As long as you keep trying, you will be blocked. If you ask why this is happening, I wrote it in the first place. Even the slightest change in the PC can cause this. For example, even if you enter the BIOS and change the simplest setting. It shouldn't happen, but it does. That's why there is no answer that says it is 100% caused by this.

    Those who say they waited and it didn't happen are wrong, and those who are getting better now are the ones who really waited.

    Waiting does not concern this game, but all EA games. Even if you try another game like NFS Heat, Unbound doesn't open, 24 hours will be added directly to your time. Because there is no denuvo protection in NFS Heat. That's why you can open it. But the server records that you are logged in from the same account. Then, if you want to run Unbound, this guy says there is some input and blocks it directly.

    In short, you must wait 24 hours before opening any EA game.

    If you ask me how I know this, the same thing happened to me in the past and when I couldn't find a solution, I directly contacted one of the developers of the game via X and asked. It took a week for the man to respond. By that time, the game had already been opened because I wasn't at home and I hadn't touched it at all. Then I saw in the man's answer that I had to wait 24 hours. I already waited because I wasn't at home. It was a bit of a coincidence, but that's the way it is, friends.

    Additionally, this game allows up to 3 different PCs with a single account. For example, if you try it on a 4th PC, it blocks it directly. I have two PCs, it has been working fine on both of them for a long time.

    Another issue, I think it is related to the Windows product key. If you have the embedded OEM key, it detects that the PC is the same PC and does not cause any problems as long as the motherboard is not changed. But if you have a Retail or Mak key, there may be problems. For example, you made changes to the bios, formatted and installed Windows, or changed a part. Because it thinks you are accessing from a different device.

    I quoted another denuvo protected game from Steam.

    Just a quick update from my end,

    I did initially get the timing wrong for waiting 24h, it appears to be working now. Hoping it stays that way.

    Interesting but it can't be 100% true. I booted the game up within 24 hours of trying last time, maybe 15-16 hours. I'd have to check the time stamps on my previous comments.

    I'll add I didn't/haven't touch anything settings wise or bios related in over a year, probably should check for updates but if it ain't broke, don't fix it.

    Same here. I waited maybe 15 hours? Seems to be working now.

    Have you tried my method of closing the ea app afterwards trying to entering the game via "Steam"?

  • @2smokeTM No, you're wrong! Yesterday I tried to log in to Need for speed unbound - it doesn't go in. I think, okay, I'll play battlefield 2042. I played for about an hour. I think it's time to go to bed (it was about 3 a.m.) and finally, for the sake of interest, I tried to run NFS - and, lo and behold! It's started! After the initial menu screen, I closed it and after that I tried to start it again several times - it didn't start anymore! I tried 6-7 times in different ways.
  • @2smokeTM In addition, how should all the problems listed by you concern people who honestly bought a product (game) for their money? This is a joint of those who are responsible for the performance of this game!

    It's funny how those who say I'm wrong can't get into the game. Is it that hard to wait 24 hours without playing games? EA is a problematic company, understand that. This problem also exists in BF, Jedi Srv. Sims too. Why do you think? The problem is in EA's licensing service. He's just blocking at his own discretion. How difficult is it to understand?

    That's all from me, keep doing what you know.

    Well, for one your statement cannot be 100% correct. Me and at least one other got into the game before the 24 hours was up.

    Unless someone on their end did a cache wipe or fiddled with a setting on the authentication server or which ever one is being a butt, which resulted in a few of us getting a greenlight. IDK. It's wild that this kind of * can be used and it's just OK that sometimes it does not work.

  • Waiting the 24 hours didn't help me at all. It has to be an issue with their EA app or something, considering I've already tried every known solution and still refuses to launch the game both through the app and Steam itself. This is getting annoying.

    Update: I think when you go to uninstall the EA app, click repair and it should repair the app to launch the game. Don't know about others but I did that and now the game launched fine just a moment ago
