In my experience, having to disconnect the power and reconnect to get the console to power back on is an indication of overheating.

It is likely that this game just nudges your console over the edge to shutdown.

Take off the console panels and clean the vents, fan and heatsinks with a vacuum cleaner and a can of compressed air held vertically (so no liquid comes out).

Retry playing with your cleaner, quieter PS5.

Summarize your bug I've proven to myself that this is not a overheating issue but a serious problem with the game. After upwards of 1 hour/15 minutes the game temporarily makes the console turn off/ brick itself. Luckily this can be fixed by unplugging the console and plugging it in again.
How often does the bug occur? Every time (100%)
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Not exactly sure but the instances at the bottom may help.
What happens when the bug occurs? The whole console turns off and will not work until you unplug it and plug it in again.
What do you expect to see? A fully playable game.

Happens more during campaign. Happens occasionally during multiplayer. But will indefinitely happen through either mode.

What happens when the bug occurs? The ps5 system shuts down and the power cord has to be removed and plugged back in for system to reboot. Also loss of all progress.
What do you expect to see? An update or hot fix to take care of the well known issue.

Just would like to play the game I paid $85.00 for. 

This isn’t an overheating issue this is a game issue. It’s happening to a lot of people and it’s sad. My console is as clean as can be. I tested it as well, I played mw2 for 15 hours straight and then played god of war all the way through with no issues. this is a bug and it’s on your guys end not ours. 

a bug of this tier can and will sooner or later cause damage to our consoles. You need to pin point it instead of blaming it on dirty consoles. It also completely erases our saved game data as well. 

Same thing happends on my PS5. It happend 3 times already. Worst thing about it is that you need to unplug the whole system and plug it back in to work. This is really serious glitch that can cause damage to consoles. Please EA, fix this issue. It's unplayable right now.

It literally happens with no other game, console is clean, runs with more demanding games per say and its a literal danger for the console just shutting down out of nowhere 

this is not an acceptable answer, there is no way that this is an overheating issue as it happens after only 15 minutes of playing need for speed, after which time the console is still stone cold. As others have already stated similarly, I play all the new games for hours and hours on end and have done for years, and have never had this problem even once, let alone to this degree. This is a problem with the game and needs to be addressed as in it’s current state, I will not be playing this game any more.
