Re: Unbound won't use dedicated graphics card in dual GPU laptop

Narrowed it down further with a friend. This is specifically a problem with the new EA launcher and it's/the game's DRM. I also found someone having the same issue that got completely ignored for two weeks before saying screw it and not playing the game https://answers.ea.com/t5/Technical-Issues/The-game-uses-UHD-630-on-my-laptop-instead-of-GTX-1050-Ti-how/m-p/12100988#M542

This is to say I could pirate the game and literally have it run better than the version I bought. Thanks EA

  • @nessfoxxI found a solution hours after filing a ticket on help.ea.com, you need to reduce your vram for the igpu. That's literally it. I reduced it, for example, from 4gb to 1gb since I only use it for basic tasks and productivity apps. Since i did that, it seems that the game auto chooses the dgpu and runs fine
