Switching window out and back into game breaks my computer

Summarize your bug When I alt + tab out of NFS Unbound, then try to get back into the game, there's a chance it doesn't go into the game and instead seems to mess up my computer so that I cannot switch windows at all. This is especially annoying because I switch windows a lot to mess with my music. Unbound is the only game that does this.
How often does the bug occur? Rarely (0% - 9%)
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Switch windows out of Need For Speed Unbound and then switch back in. It only ocasionally happens but it will happen if you do it enough times. This has happened to me in online lobbies, I don't know if it happens in single player too or not
What happens when the bug occurs? I do not get switched into Need For Speed Unbound and instead lose the ability to switch windows at all
What do you expect to see? I expect my PC to switch windows when I press alt+tab
