Turning off ps5 and series X

Having to physically unplug and reconnect the power indicates this may be an overheating issue. 

Take the panels off the console, remove the fan and clean all vents, fan and heatsinks, preferably with a can of compressed air (held vertically).

I was ready to replace my PS5 at one point until I REALLY cleaned it and it has not crashed like this since. 

Do a deep clean every couple of months also.

I clean them every two weeks and it has only happened with NFS UNBOUND. I can play mw2 all day long no problems and other games I have downloaded. It’s happened a total of three times just with NFS unbound. 

I know it’s not both my consoles overheating. It hasn’t happned in awhile so I think it might be fixed maybe. Even on Reddit multiple people were having this issue with the game shutting down the console and then deleting their saved data.

Summarize your bug After about 12/20 minutes of playtime in any mode the console will crash completely. Rendering it useless unless plugged out and back in. This is NOT a dust/overheating issue as multiple games that use near identical ps5 features have no similar effects. Please fix,

What happens when the bug occurs? The playstation is practically bricked. Unless you plug it out and in again. (not a overheating issue.)
What do you expect to see? Full playability. Since this is a NFS title after all.

In my experience, having to disconnect the power and reconnect to get the console to power back on is an indication of overheating.

It is likely that this game just nudges your console over the edge to shutdown.

Take off the console panels and clean the vents, fan and heatsinks with a vacuum cleaner and a can of compressed air held vertically (so no liquid comes out).

Retry playing with your cleaner, quieter PS5.

Summarize your bug I've proven to myself that this is not a overheating issue but a serious problem with the game. After upwards of 1 hour/15 minutes the game temporarily makes the console turn off/ brick itself. Luckily this can be fixed by unplugging the console and plugging it in again.

What happens when the bug occurs? The whole console turns off and will not work until you unplug it and plug it in again.
What do you expect to see? A fully playable game.

Happens more during campaign. Happens occasionally during multiplayer. But will indefinitely happen through either mode.

What happens when the bug occurs? The ps5 system shuts down and the power cord has to be removed and plugged back in for system to reboot. Also loss of all progress.
What do you expect to see? An update or hot fix to take care of the well known issue.

Just would like to play the game I paid $85.00 for. 

This isn’t an overheating issue this is a game issue. It’s happening to a lot of people and it’s sad. My console is as clean as can be. I tested it as well, I played mw2 for 15 hours straight and then played god of war all the way through with no issues. this is a bug and it’s on your guys end not ours. 

a bug of this tier can and will sooner or later cause damage to our consoles. You need to pin point it instead of blaming it on dirty consoles. It also completely erases our saved game data as well. 

Same thing happends on my PS5. It happend 3 times already. Worst thing about it is that you need to unplug the whole system and plug it back in to work. This is really serious glitch that can cause damage to consoles. Please EA, fix this issue. It's unplayable right now.

It’s not his console overheating, this has happened to me twice already. I’ve also lost progress each time it’s happened, I’m afraid to boot up the game anymore. Please fix this.
