What if I buy this game again?

I bought NFS Unbound on Epic several months ago but now I have trouble launching the game through Epic.

So what would happen if I buy the game again on Steam?

My Epic account and Steam account are connected to the same EA account. Will that cause problems?

BTW I bought the base game on Epic, what if I buy the palace edition on Steam?
