How many of you feels like this game needs a harder difficulty? I am playing on Supterstar full sim and 95% of the games i don't feel like i am struggeling at all.I am making 8-10 goals on 5 x 3 min matches and i don't like that, it does not feel realistic.Playing with Buffalo Sabres so not even the best team and won the first franchise mode season. The first playoff i played unbeaten in all matches.And i don't even feel like i am a good player in this game.

What should come after Superstar? I find the difficult levels are "hard" enough. I play with ALL STAR and that's demanding for me. I also find that the difference between Pro and All Star is almost too big. I would have absolutely no chance on Superstar.But that's just my opinion.

@PeterMagnuss0n That's good for you! TBH I feel the difficulty level is good for me. I have a very good challenge with 90+ teams. As a no money spent and very casual player my team is not really good so I like the difficulty. I don't know what kind of player you are or the team you have but you have to understand that those playing and winning at Superstar are not the majority. Most of the players are still stuggling playing at Pro. So I kinda agree with you that maybe another high level dufficulty could be fun, but they're always going to be some who thinks the game is too easy and some who find it too hard. EA have to find a balance between average and good players.My very young son use to play the game and was good at rookie in the last few years but really struggle with 23. So good players always find a way to beat cpu at any level but for average and causal players it's always harder for them to adjust when the difficulty spike.

I posted Here with clips of how passive and bad the AI is even on Superstar with difficulty adjustment all the way up. They just let you skate around and don't even try to stop you most of the time. When they do try, they take the wrong angle and miss with a hit. It is really bad.This renders Franchise mode and Be a pro unplayable for me. Why would I care about drafting, scouting, trading, strategies, etc., if I can dominate the AI without trying. It is all pointless and boring.It is especially sad because online play is so obviously arcade oriented, so we have no sim hockey game available.

A human in OVP matchmaking would select the option to 'Match Franchise Games' and then could take the reigns of the team someone is matched up with in their franchise.It allowed OVP players to play 'spoiler' for someone's franchise, but also allowed franchise players to avoid playing senseless A.I. drones.

@PeterMagnuss0n There is a higher difficulty mode‐ it's called playing with a multi goal lead in all star-competitive difficulty. Good luck getting your AI in position to do anything!

Difficulty level is just sliders more in their favor and less in yours. AI tendencies will always be the same so they can be manipulated regardless.

@KlariskraysNHL what happens when you max out the sliders? I agree with a higher difficulty!

Also, I suggest competitive and arcade modes for WOC.

Depending on how often I play, I use both All Star and Superstar and the only differences I notice moving up to Superstar are:
My goalie gets worse, theirs gets better and every loose puck ends up on my opponents stick, whether it was 50/50 or I had the edge on who should pick it up.

In my opinion, the biggest problem isn’t the degree of difficulty, it’s that the AI needs drastic improvements.

@Beauts90 amen to this, difficulty seems to be adjusting your team rather than the opponents which leads to comical results and posts from others complaining about goalies and their overall not meaning anything, skating in the sand and ice tilt. The difficulty system and AI needs some work. It really should be only the opposing teams AI adjusting. Superstar in Squad Battles sometimes feels like my teammates had a big celebration the night before a match and didn't quite recover yet.
