@EA_Kent I was going to go around and link to a bunch of posts from the past week, but I think I’ll summarize it for you now.Custom Leagues is a great addition to the game. That said it being advertised as “control every aspect of your league” and then finding out that we would not be able to control more than one team, and would not be able to edit players made the entire announcement very underwhelming and extremely disappointing.The custom league COULD have been something great, but instead it’s like someone inviting you over for pizza, then getting there and discovering they only have bread sticks.

@EA_Kent Haha yes Kyl said it… look around the forum Kent. NEARLY NO ONE IS HAPPY.EA claims that we have all this customization and control over the league… but WE DONT. We don’t have any control. We can’t EDIT PLAYERS. We can’t control more than one team. We can adjust the schedule… cool? I find no use in it. Same with adjusting numbers of teams. We can’t edit players. We can’t control anything. We can’t even have an expansion draft mid career. Only at the start. @EA_Aljo You need to realize what job you signed up for. You are on the front line between developers and consumers - and you are getting the frustration of the consumers. That's your job - trust me it is much better to get them in writing than in person or by phone.Frustration is born from customers paying money and not getting what they feel they paid for and from individuals who have this as the only outlet for this type of game and feel powerless to encourage it to move in the right direction. You are going to bear the brunt of this frustration in your position.However, there is a huge difference between encouraging people to post constructively so that some action can be taken and calling their responses toxic. When you do that, you are dismissing them and you need to be very selective and be certain someone should be dismissed - stating it generally is only going to create more frustration which causes more toxicity. I certainly got the closest to toxic I ever got on here in responding to a PM from you just the other day - and it was born from being dismissed and being accused of a toxic post.But, the easiest thing is to remove the frustration. Even if you are listening, the developers are ignoring their customer base and what they are demanding. It isn't time intensive and resource heavy things that are being requested for the most part; and it isn't things that will degrade the game for anyone else - but they simply tell us that they will tell us what we should want. They won't allow the option to do this or that which we can manually turn on. They are insulting us constantly through paternalism - the same sort of paternalism as if I came to your house each morning and told you what you will wear because you don't know how to dress yourself.If they were doing this for free - if we weren't paying anything - then they would be fully within their rights to insist that the game will be exactly as they want it. But we are paying them for a product and you cannot just tell a customer that they will buy your product as you want it, not as they want it. You can give away for free something the way you want it, but not when you ask for money in return. Their paternalism creates the frustration which gets vented against you on the front line.It's a bigger issue this time around because they advertised features that they did not provide and which they CHOSE to actually deplete rather than providing. EA has a legal obligation to provide what was advertised and please talk to your legal department if the developers are being stubborn because your legal department will explain it to them ad nauseum.

My point is in 2021, we said: "Give us back the ability to edit our players. It sucks without it." EA said nothing. In 2022, we asked for it back, this time.more forcefully. EA said nothing. We begged for it back in 2023, and again EA said nothing.HUT said: "Hey, bags take too long to open. 5 seconds is too long." EA got down on its hands and knees and said: "Please forgive us, we gotten bag opening down to 4 seconds, and you can now open all your bags and once, plus we upped the scroll speed, and we tossed in a new way to earn free bags."We said: "What about us?" EA sent us @EA_Kent and @EA_Aljo to tell us there is only so much time in a year to fix the game, and to not be toxic....We said: "But we've been asking for 3." EA said: "Don't be toxic."We said: "We aren't."@EA_Aljo said: "We've had to sanction so many accounts becuase of toxic statements."But we're twisting their words.

@VeronicatheCD I meant the disappointment and utter failure on EA’s part, is why I didn’t buy it. Sorry I thought my intention of that was clear about that, not the hairstyles

@kyl_35Funny, though it is a very accurate representation of EA communication and interaction though lol… ask us for feedback and then peace out and don’t actually read anything or take anything into consideration….

Haven’t seen Kent since Wednesday and Aljo since Thursday… understand it was a Canadian long weekend on Monday… but still, especially during a launch and literally nothing from them is pretty brutal lol

Interesting time for everybody from EA to be away, it is what it is I guess though.
I meant to share this awhile ago to show what can be done on a much, much smaller budget and even less resources.

It's too bad I can't really get into this game/app because there is no gameplay, but it's almost embarrassing how much more is added compared to the NHL series.

@Beauts90 I really enjoy HLM… it’s crazy how much more immersive it is than EA’s NHL games… same thing with Franchise Hockey Manager on steam… very immersive and realistic… only downside like you said, is the lack of gameplay.

HLM is free, or 5 bucks for the pro version which insanely outshines EA’s NHL in every category… you get your bang for your buck for sure…. Not with EA. you actually get less each year because of the constant removal of features, and bugs and broken features etc… very poor dollar to feature ratio lol

@kyl_35 I really do envy your skill at having the perfect response/video/meme etc for everything.. I’m just good at complaining but you’re good at being funny while doing it lol
Kent really did just ask questions and peaced out in typical fashion. Kent and Aljo are really good at avoiding any back and forth communication with anything but preorder information or commenting in threads that praise the game lol

I have done a very high amount of back and forth communication over the years here. However, the more constructive posts are the ones that stand a much better chance at a response. As far as the 23 forums go, I just got back yesterday after being gone for several days. There would have been more conversation had I been here.
