Thanks for reaching out. We'll go through some troubleshooting. First, I'd like you to power cycle your equipment with the following steps: unplug your modem/router and console. After 2 minutes plug in the modem/router. Let them come back online completely. Then plug in your console and start it up. Let me know if that helps or not.
Tried this and no luck.

Thanks for trying. Next, delete the personal saved data for NHL 23. To do that, please follow these steps. There is the risk of losing offline saves and changes to settings you've made. Normally, those download from the cloud, but I can't guarantee this.
- Press the Guide button and then highlight the NHL 23 tile.
- Hit the Menu button. It's the small one to the right of the Guide button with 3 horizontal lines on it.
- Next, go to Manage game and add-ons > Saved data. Delete the file with your gamertag on it.

Let's see if clearing the alternate MAC address works. To do that, follow these steps:
- Go to your Xbox Settings
- Go to "Network", then "Advanced Network Settings"
- Click on "Alternate MAC Address", and then click "Clear"

Do you have another gamertag you can try? I'm curious if it happens on another account.

@EA_Aljo I'm also having this problem and I can confirm the issue is not with one gamertag specifically. I signed out of my main account and used a different gamertag and tried loading into every game mode, even the free skate option to test out your build won't work for both accounts on old gen and new gen nhl 23. This leads me to believe that this is another problem on my ISPs side of things which is AT&T for me personally. It's frustrating that yet another problem has to be litigated with WOC connectivity issues. Last week I couldn't even load into the WOC without it taking over 5 min to just get an error code and sent back to the main menu. Then everything was fine again for a couple of day's and everything seemed to work like normal again and then today this daunting sense of false hope on the game loading up successfully to be able to play is what now appears to be the case. Add me to the list of people affected by this as well unfortunately. Is there any idea of what is causing the game to not successfully load up? I've tried to troubleshooting steps mentioned earlier and was unsuccessful at resolving the issue we are having here.

I had another report from someone on AT&T that they can't enter other modes as well. I'll pass this on to the team investigating it.
