Gameplay in HUT Offline needs some adjustment in my oppinion.All Goalies, wheather they are Top NHL Goalies or Bronze Goalies are making dozens of Supersave per Game.Played some Games in Hut Challenge against Goalies on Rookie Level.Even on this Level they are making one Supersave after another.

I think they are broken! They're not supposed to do desperate saves on every perfect plays even at rookie! Squad Battles and challenges are a pain! Sadly, if you are mainly an offline player you might skip 23... EA didnt care for you on this one!

@Jeff_frm_Edmonds Here is a perfect example of the situation with the community. People give their opinion thinking only of themselves. YOU need a big challenge, YOU are so good, YOU score a lot of goals in any mode... The problem is that you're not the only one playing this game. Not everyone who is as good as you. It is for these reasons that there are different difficulties in RUSH and SB and different divisions in Rivals.What you're being told, which you seem to completely ignore, is that for a lot of people who are used to it with some degree of difficulty over the last two or three years, they have a lot of difficulty, not because of the game, but only because of the goalies who seem to completely ignore difficulty levels and their stats. It's not normal that a 65 goalies at rookie in a mode like RUSH can execute so many supersaves like those in Rivals or at Superstar in SB. It has nothing to do with the challenge! It's about everyone being able to play at the level of difficulty that suits them. Right now, goalies are ignoring all the rules! Even if a 65 goalie is slower, he'll still dive to stop pucks he shouldn't! It is not normal!Maybe you're having fun, but a lot of people less talented than you are just looking for a game and a level they can beat without having to play 30 hours a week. You want a challenge? You can play Rivals in higher division or Hut Champs but why people who just enjoyed rookie mode can't play at their level?

This thread was about the goalie save animation being otherworldly and I gave my opinion on it. I like it and don't feel that it is making the game unplayable. It simply looks different and those goals that we learned to pull off in 22 aren't as easy in 23. This is a very good indication that EA actually did give us a different game than before.Yes, my opinion but no less worthy of those you summarized. And far from the opinion of an 'expert' and definitely NOT an Influencer.I have felt that EA has gone out of their way for players like me by creating Squads and RUSH and giving us the ability to get the online feel without having to actually go online. Squads is a mode for us that can't compete with the online community and I wouldn't be buying or playing the NHL video game without it. It is basically the only mode I play unless required for an objective. Squads and RUSH are very much a balance in the game. The elite player can go play Rivals and Champs and the rest can get similar play and rewards with these offline modes.

@Trisixty66 My goalies it got x-factor vasilevski and shesterkin both 86 and they sometimes let every shot trough it seems! I got 11 rival games in a row a goal against with the opponents first shot or pass even 2 times and you can‘t get the players fast enough to interrupt or do anything against! But then they bring new thing and let it like this very nice maybe they should fire their programmers and hire some they want to make a good game and not such a mess of faults 😂

It's not just HUT. I played both BAP and franchise a little on rookie to adjust to new gameplay. They certainly cover a lot of range and you cannot simply outskate the goalie from the inside anymore.

Agreed. Goalies are broken. Terrible gameplay with every level goalie a Vezina Trophy winner

@speed4rabbit THIS, 100% agree, to compound matters our goalies are still sieves with bad reflexes and vision, even an 87 OVR Roy!!

I really like the Goalies in 23.
A bit harder to score but we're also playing with mid 80 OVR at best. By the time the 90s start to drop those Goalies will look like swiss cheese.

I less upset about how amazing every goalie is and more concerned that in Squad battles my goalie always has a save average less than .700!!!! I struggle to get wins when its a better option to play with an empty net than a goalie. Current game = 2 goals on 2 shots in 1st... 2 goals on 3 shots in the 2nd... At this point, what am i supposed to do? Its impossible to play this game. Id love to know how 100's of people got over 81,000 points in squad battles (meaning they played on superstar and won by 3+goals per game)... I guess they just allow 0 shots for 37 straight games on superstar?

@Jeff_frm_Edmonds Sorry but I disagree! Goalies are not better they are just tricked to make more desesperate saves on shots they are not supposed to save. Goalies will get to 99 too and they will keep doing miracle saves on even 99 shot power perfect one timers! They do that at 60 on rookie against 85-89 players so...

Getting them tricked up is making them better and I'm OK with it. I'm still getting my 5+ In Squads on Superstar but it's a bit more work and seems to be testing me more. I hope it stays this way because it's really a challenge and fun to play at the moment.
I even netted 18 in Rivals Burst which is a lot for me. I generally get shutout in online play and I nabbed 5 wins in that mode with 2 in a row. Last year I had 5 wins in 42 games including the GWC games.
RUSH has been tough to score in this week but every card is playing at its peek. Sorokin is really the only one I noted giving me trouble. I had to play a 10 OT game to beat it 1-0 but I had 3 or 4 in my other games. Yes, I had to work for them but I still got them and it's been more fun for me because of it.
