Granted, my defending in these clips is atrocious. I'll concede that. However, just look at the ease in which the offensive player maintains control of the puck while literally going through defenders. Because we're still catering to HUT Bunnies and streamers who complain about "Skill Zoning" (I'd like to see what button these people push to control all 6 players at once) - we're left with A.I. defenders who just sit by while the puck carrier just goes through them.So this is fun. LT use MORE effective this year while defending using proper DSS and poke checks is LESS effective. All because HUT bunnies want to be able to dangle, snipe and celly while twitch streaming. Please, for the love of god, stop catering to these clowns.

EA clearly has zero clue what they are doing when it comes to making a rewarding and competitive game, it’s getting so annoying that all this game needs is a few tweaks and it will be very good, but they just don’t see it, or won’t make those changes.Poke checking is amazing with how it slows you down and makes you time your pokes, I’m all for having something like that to truly reward a skilled defender and make it noticeable when you have a guy that knows what they are doing. The problem is that you’re forced to time your pokes perfectly now, for a result that more often than not is punished by allowing your opponent to keep the puck, or pick it right back up instantly and continue to blow past the defender. If you’re going to make a punishment for poke checking at the wrong time, you better basically guarantee a reward when doing it right.Not only that, but tripping penalties are almost non existent. I think through like 20 games now I’ve seen maybe one tripping penalty? And as for myself I havent even taken one in a few situations where I know I should have. With how poke checking is currently though it doesn’t need anymore punishment, but again, penalties are a form of skill gap that need to be in the game. So IF pokechecking was working correctly, then penalties also need to be put up a little bit more for tripping. People can just clearly poke at your feet atm and get away with it.Its just getting to the point it’s hard to support and play this series, when you can see the mindset of EA being that auto animations, AI, and RNG, are all more of an impact than the humans using the controllers. Year after year their mindset gets worse on this as well

@KidShowtime1867 I definitely think the gamechanger program did more harm than good to the series overall. I honestly think the only way this game changes for the better is if EA actually balances the game based around the absolute top tier skilled players of the game. If it’s balanced at the absolute high end, it is balanced for everyone at that point and it truly will come down to skill gap at that point.Just bothers me that we are constantly asked for video proof and clips of game issues that literally can be noticed within 1-2 games of playing online, which tells me these devs don’t actually play the game, or if they do it’s at such a casual level that they are ignorant to it. I would absolutely love if a dev could watch my club play for a night and witness the absolute trash we go through and give actual explanations as to why the game is programmed this way, would love to hear the actual excuse they could come up with

@KidShowtime1867 Yup, sad. Bigger problem with LT pumping is that it messes totally already nerfed poke aiming. In 22 I was very successful stripping puck with stick lift from LT spammers. Now it’s 9/10 a penalty, even if you hear that “success” click sound.

@KidShowtime1867 Gotta agree with your post. I actually like where the poke check is at, it requires smart positioning vs poke check spamming. BUT, the skating and use of the vision control is obnoxious. Skating deserved a semi overhaul to balance out the poke check nerf. In your videos above, I see at least 3 occasions where in real life, a player skates like that, you're going to get a flat tire and fall.

Trying to play any sort of defense this year is borderline impossible. It's awful.

@KidShowtime1867Everything under the sun nerfed for defense, but the LT is back in full force. You can't expect yourself to defend correctly when the offense continues to abuse the mechanics of the game. It's happening everywhere. In every mode.
