Re: Rivals play in games stuck at 4 games

@49889d12cc61a144  Hey there, so sorry to hear that this bug is happening to you. I have heard of a couple people so far throughout the forums that this has impacted. 

You may have already tried this as your described method of contacting EA already, but if u havent i would definitely submit a “case request” under the “contact us” section of the EA support page.

if you have already attempted this then my only advice is to try and stay patient. I know EA can be untimely in their response sometimes. I dont believe that they have as many reps working on weekends. I could be wrong.

  • Yeah no that was my first method of contact. I submitted a report describing in perfect detail what happened; along with a 30 second clip of me quitting the game, and the game telling me that I am close to relegation. And then after closing the relegation warning, the rivals menu still has me shown as having played only 4 games. All wins I’ll mind you, when the last 3-4 games I have quit out trying to get the game to fix itself. After having sent that incredibly thorough and specific report, I was redirected to the Xbox general support page. Yeah. That’s where I’m at.

    Hello, @49889d12cc61a144 and @PESKYHANS 

    This is an issue we're aware of. It's only a display glitch. Your games are counting as regular Rivals matches. It's just displaying that you still have one placement game left. 

  • So I would believe that this was a "display glitch" if I was still getting progress towards objectives, or getting coins at the end of the games. Certainly I would not get any progress for games I quit. But I have played and won 2 games, after having this glitch occur. I did not get any milestone objective progress in online goals, online games won, shutout wins, anything of the sort. No games played registering whatsover in that regard. And no coins at the end of the games I won either. So I do not believe that this is strictly a "display" glitch. My games might be counting towards some sort of record keep within NHL? But they are most certainly not registering any sort of benefit from having played/won those games. So no, this being a display glitch, does not add up. Why would I be getting 0 progress towards objectives for those games played, when they are actually counting? Still awaiting for someone to ACTUALLY help me with this.

    @EA_Aljo Meant to tag you a well. At least you respond unlike EA help. 77 and a half hours I waited, for them to direct me to xbox help. Xbox support is a much more broad area of asking for help wouldn't you think? EA support, really thought, the best course of action here after viewing my situation, was that I might be better able to figure it out by contacting xbox support? or reading through commonly asked questions? I mean.. What? This literally could not be a more uniquely specific situation to a specific EA game. There is nobody figuring that out but EA. With how clearly this issue was mapped out for them in my report (copious exact details along with a clip proving exactly what I said is happening), I cannot possibly understand how the conclusion drawn was - Contact Xbox support.

    Does restarting HUT make a difference? It's possible this will update milestones and records.

  • No. I have restarted hut, restarted the game, restarted my xbox, even re downloaded the game. My objectives still say 4 online games won.

    I'm talking about milestone progress. The issue with the graphical glitch showing you still have another game to play is being investigated.

  • I am not talking about the rivals screen. I am talking about my milestones. One of the milestones in the game, is most certainly, online wins. My milestone achievement for online wins in Rivals/HC says, 4 online wins. I have more than 4 online wins.

  • And honestly i'm not at all trying to be rude. But isn't this reasoning exactly why I explained that I know that this isn't a display glitch? The reason why I did not accept that as a response is BECAUSE i'm not getting progress on my objectives as well. No online wins, no shots, no goals, nothing counting towards my milestones. no coins at the end of the game, nothing. So not to repeat myself, but yeah the whole reason I shot that response down in the first place is because of this. I was well aware you were talking about the milestones. That is the only thing I was talking about as well, and that's how I know that this isn't something only with my rivals "display".

    I definitely get this sounds odd, but try a full power cycle of your console and network equipment. To do that, unplug your modem/router and console. After 2 minutes plug in the modem/router. Let them come back online completely. Then plug in your console and start it up. Let me know if that helps or not. Thanks!

  • Hey! So were back again. I did follow your instructions on the power cycle. It did work for me to now bypass the games not counting for progress. Game still frozen at the play in games though. And now must frustratingly of all, I have gotten my 2000 points to qualify for hut champs. I even have a clip of the game telling me at the end of a rivals match that I had my 2000 points, and then when I get to the menu and go to the Hut champions, it tells me that I havent qualified, and does not let me search for a game. Extremely frustrated at this point. About to now be my second weekend straight of not playing hut champions. I genuinely am at a loss for words as to how to describe my experience at this point. FYI I did try to hard reset my internet and xbox, just as suggested last time. This did not work to allow me to play my champs games. What do I do @EA_Aljo ?

  • I believe that I did ?? Is there something I’m missing I thought once you got enough points, you just had qualified. Is there a page I need to go to turn them in ? Don’t know if the screen still being frozen on my rivals play ins will affect this.

  • So yeah no. I have no hut champions collectible in my inbox or in my unopened packs. I am not qualified according to the screen, yet when I play a rivals game, it tells me I have my 2000 points. I did receive a 1000 point collectible as a tier reward ? But yeah that was the one that put me at 2000 points total. And I have no further collectibles to redeem

    You need to go to the HUT Rivals hub. Look on the lower right. You should see where it says Press A/X to redeem to register.

  • This screen ? Does not let me go to the bottom right as the screen is frozen on my play in games. As we have talked about, quite a few times in this thread. What’s the plan here ?

    I'll relay this back to the team. It's possible the display issue with being stuck on the 4th placement game is causing this to happen.

  • Well of course, I knew that it was related. It’s not a possibility, it is a 100 percent certainty. Honestly, what is going to be done about this ? Is it just going to be, try again next week ? Am I going to be compensated for my inability to play hut champions for the second consecutive week, by no fault other than the games ? Anyone who actually plays hut competitively knows, If you fall behind early, unless you empty your wallet and buy packs, your in trouble. I am now about to be two weekends of having no champions points. A lack of anything of the nature of “we will make this up to you” at this point would be completely unacceptable. This is getting bewilderingly aggravating.
