Xfactor/ability ideas

There should these xfactors or abilities 

Agitator - I player who'll agitate the opposition causing them to be rattled and may lead them taking more penalties (player will sometimes go to far and get into a fight or penalty hinself)

Actor - A player who will dive on tripping calls or act on other calls in an attempt to get your team on the powerplay (Player may get caught and get an embellishment penalty)

Negotiator - A player who will negotiate with the ref to overturn penalties (this player may also negotiate a high salary contract as well)

Golden Glove - A player who will protect your main stars, if that player is not on the ice when a big hit was made he will seek out that player who hit your star his next shift (sometimes the other player won't want to fight and your player will get a 2 minutes unsportsmanlike conduct) 

Team player - Unlike tape to tape this player will solely be about passing the puck. (Not made for a scoring minded player, also will take a team friendly contract)

Selfish - Opposite to Team player, this play will shoot way more then attempt the pass (this play will be a puck hog and may costs some plays)

So far that's all I can think of.

    If anything, zone abilities and superstar abilities need to be restricted based on the play build you use. Like truclulence should not be a superstar ability that can be put on any class, restrict it to the enforcer builds. Big rig should be available on the power forward maybe Grinder as well..? Take them off of the superstar ability (not every class need every availableability). Again something along thise lines, just an idea.

  • @TITAN_NHL Agitator wouldn't be a hitting thing. Marchand being a d**k (licking people) or go back further with avery dancing in front of broduer. Its to get under your skin.

    Personally I think x factora and abilities suit Franchise and BAP more then online
  • Most of these tendencies work on paper but I'm afraid they would be problematic to implement in-game.

    Things like embellishment and overturning penalties would only lead to complaints of the game purposely screwing/tilting you over in certain situations (another example being people wanting coaches reviews).

    Other things like players "taking numbers" is way too much for the devs to handle lol. That said, I really would like to add "selfish/ team player" traits to my CPUs though.

  • @TTZ_Dipsy I mean they had that feature before with contracts. If you remember you could hire a lawyer and the more stars it had the cheaper the contract was, there was another additive to it as well the more that player wanted to be on your team the more of a friendly contract he'll take and on the other side of things if a player has low interest he either won't even take an offer from you or the contract will have to be expensive.
  • I feel like some players I see already have Selfish as their Zone ability somehow.

    To sum it up I guess, none of these would really work in CHEL - they are AI behaviours not actual ability boosts.

    To be fair I wasn't thinking of CHEL or online. Was thinking more of Franchise/BAP

    Maybe they should have 2 different variants Online X-Factors/abilities and offline (franchise/BAP) X-Factors/abilities
