Was recently playing the God of War: Ragnarök trial and was happily surprised by its plethora of accessibility features - most notably the controller overlay. It can be hard providing accurate feedback with just gifs/videos alone, even if voiceover work is added on top. How often have you told yourself or someone else "I pressed the button!"? Well, with this things will be pretty cut and dry.Please excuse the awkward movements; It's been a while since I played the first game and forgot all the controls.Also, dear god this game is beautiful

Remember the good old days when you could see that during a replay? I used to be annoyed at my shooting and go into replay to see ohh yeah my right stick was no where in the zone it should’ve been haha. I still have no idea why it was taken out. It’s something I think is sorely missed too

Hey, everyone. I believe this was removed because it didn't work with the change to Frostbite and needs to be rebuilt. There have been bigger issues to handle first. I know the team wants to bring this back so hopefully, it'll happen. I would love to see it return.

this would be a nice feature to have in deke tutorials. You know.. the ones you also removed just to reintroduce them 10 years later as a groundbreaking new feature?

I second this beautiful suggestion. I used to go into the replays and look at my opponents' stick placement to see if they got gifted a goal from EA or if they actually aimed their shots correctly lol (yes I WAS that petty). They could also add what games like Monster Hunter or Street Fighter have where it shows a scrolling list of all of the inputs a player makes so that you can track your actions. That might be a little extra but would be cool for us nerds. Alas, it's just a reminder of the good old days when we had controller overlays, custom play creation, etc. BTW (Off-topic) I really recommend buying Ragnarok. It was SO good.

I'm not quite sure why it was removed.

Now's the opportunity to not only show stick and player movements, but other buttons and combos as well.

No need to stop there either - I would love if even more data could be shown like strategies, stamina, your custom sliders like pass assist, and of course ping + what your connection type is (no more claiming you're wired when you're not!)

Bringing this back should be high priority. You are always asking folks for replays, but they aren't as useful without seeing their control inputs.

I like this. Especially if you could hide it during realtime gameplay, and pull it up during replays.

Like you said, it would be great for recorded video feedback to the developers, but it’d also be great for training tutorials and YouTube videos.

And… imagine if you could enter ‘Training & Practice’ with friends (online or couch-play) and teach/learn from each other with one of these on the screen for each player in the session.
In addition to that (at least as far as ‘Training & Practice’ goes), it would be cool if you could use the ice as a whiteboard to discuss plays, player movement, positioning, etc. Not only during practice, but also during timeouts and intermissions.
