The dude thinks that the sole reason for not making pc version is 'pc cheaters' to which I say - nonsense. Then you disagree with me saying that it could be a reason.... but there is probably more than just that...
do you follow the conversation or just post for the sake of posting?

I disagreed that it was an " L take". Cheating could very well be a reason and they weren't wrong. I felt I could add to the discussion by laying out some more reasons why a PC release likely won't happen.
Are you okay?
Gotta be honest, I want EA to prove it. Been looking for a long time to get a proper NHL game on PC, but I keep hearing excuses. I want EA to take my money here, but they just won't.
@SrevlisCan you even release a single player version if "cheating" is a worry? I just want to play hockey please!

This shows that ea sells 100-300k copies of their nhl game a year.

this link shows a new hockey game, from a developer no one knows, with no marketing budget, and not licensed sold over 34,000 copes in the first 8 days it launched on pc.
now please EA community managers, explain to me again how there isn't a market for hockey games on pc. I used to buy NHL every year for consoles, I stopped at 22. I will not buy another console just to play hockey. get with the times. Tape to Tape also sold for much less per copy and had a massive drop off in players soon after launch. Assuming your numbers are correct, you're gonna need wayyyyy more than 10% of the community demanding a PC port.
EA said it...
The PC player base is just not there. They have to focus where the money is like Super Mega Baseball 4 (released on ALL platforms) with a whopping 500-player all-time peak (steam charts). NHL just can't compete with that, the game is just too niche
Just stop giving EA your money its what a lot of people have done.
exactly this, its got nothing to do with sales numbers thats just nonsense

It takes money to add features and support other platforms. Especially a PC version that would have a far smaller player base. Not to mention the very high amount of resources, which cost money, to support a PC version of the game. So, your original statement just makes the second statement more false. Hockey is a borderline niche sport. It just doesn't have the audience that warrants the very high investment when that's not going to be returned. Unfortunately, we need money to make a PC version happen. It's not a situation where we can just copy and paste and call it a day. If it were, there would be a PC version by now.
