2025 NHL Online Play for Xbox One

Question

Hi,My son is trying to play NHL 2025 online on his Xbox One and he keeps getting the following error "Network Connection Issue- unable to connect to the EA servers at this time.&nbsp; In order to access the online features for this title, please verify your network connection is working and you are signed in to your xbox profile or the EA servers may be down."&nbsp; I am not very tech savy so I am hoping that someone may be able to give me so ideas on what to look for in order to get the online playing mode working.&nbsp; My son has an account that is signs in on his xbox for his game pass and he also has an EA Games account.&nbsp; Any help someone can give would be greatly appreciated.&nbsp; Thank you in advance.&nbsp;

Hi there. I assume your son has an Xbox Series X or S? NHL 25 is not available for Xbox One.
As far as not connecting goes, let's start with a simple power cycle of the network equipment and console.&nbsp;

Unplug your modem/router for 2 minutes
Hard restart your console by holding down the power button until it turns off
Power it all up and try playing again

Yes it is the Xbox X series. &nbsp;We tried what you said and it didn’t work. &nbsp;Do you have any other ideas?

Hello. Apologies for the late response. I was out for the last 3 days.

Is your Xbox connected through a wireless or wired connection? If wireless, can you switch to a wire and see if it connects?

Also, try clearing the alternate MAC address with these steps:

Go to your Xbox Settings
Go to "Network", then "Advanced Network Settings"
Click on "Alternate MAC Address", and then click "Clear"
